Q: Do you take insurance?
A: I do not bill insurance directly or superbill. If you have FSA or HSA, I can provide an invoice. Please contact me after the appointment with any specific requirements from your insurance provider and I can get the invoice to you.
Q: I checked your online scheduler and can't find a date and time that fits my schedule, do you only work in the mornings 2 days on weekdays only?
A: The online scheduler is open 2 months out. Weekend appointments and weekday late afternoon/ evening appointments book the quickest. Generally, I'm in the office 3-4 days a week, weekdays until 6-7pm and every other Saturday, but I have some flexibility. If you can't find an appointment through the online scheduler that works for you, you can email or text me and I might be able to accommodate you.
Q: Do you talk during the massage?
A: A massage session is meant for YOU, so I stay quiet, unless you initiate conversation. If I say something, it's for standard instructions or in regards to something I'm observing in your body while I'm working. I'm not opposed to talking and I'm happy to get to know you, but it's your session and the choice to talk is yours.
Q: Do you still offer In-Home Massage?
A: At this time, my availability is limited and I only offer In-Home Massage to established, ongoing clients whose homes I've been to. If my schedule opens in the future, I'll offer in-home massage again.
Q: Do you work on women only or do you also work on men?
A: I work primarily with women though I do accept appointments with men, usually by referral. By referral, I mean from a current client or a trusted person or practitioner. If you're a man who I don't know and you book an appointment, I reserve the right to cancel it at my discretion. Thank you for understanding.
Q: How often should I get a massage?
A: You may need one once a week, every other week, or once a month. After a session, check in with your body for about a week. Depending on your posture (most of the population have poor posture in some form), your exercise regimen, and stress levels, you can determine how often you need to come in. Regular massage is proven to relax and relieve tight, painful muscles, improve one's mood, and help to boost the immune system.
